Glad you got it figured out Ken! Please let me know if you need help with anything else.
I’m going to mark this thread as resolved 🙂
Thanks for supporting ACF Widgets!
@Mitch I’ve pushed an update. Can you confirm the issue is fixed in version 1.12.2?
@Mitch just wanted to give you an update. I believe I’ve found the new function in the changed codebase. Testing now. Will hopefully have a patch before end of business today (central time USA)
Hey Mitch thanks for reporting this. I’m looking into it right now and hopefully I can get an update pushed before too many people update.

You can swap out your license on the plugin’s setting page under
Settings > ACFW Options. Just deactivate your old license and enter your new one.

@Alex and @Thomas, I’ve got a commit for this issue fixed and it should be pushed in the next 24 hours.June 20, 2018 at 12:51 AM in reply to: Widget Says "You have not added any fields to this widget yet. " #105405
Thomas thanks for the lead here. I’ve been busy with some other things. I’ll try to get a push for this as soon as I get some free time.June 7, 2018 at 1:18 PM in reply to: Widget Says "You have not added any fields to this widget yet. " #105378
Hmmm that is strange. Usually other users are pretty good about reporting something like this. I didn’t see any updates with ACF that should cause this to happen but I’ll take a look at the code tonight.
Functionally, is everything working as expected (except this issue)?June 7, 2018 at 12:53 AM in reply to: Widget Says "You have not added any fields to this widget yet. " #105374
Thanks for supporting the plugin.
Can you tell me if this behavior is present on the “old” widget select screen, not in the customizer?
I’ve moved your message into it’s own topic. Feel free to ask any questions here.
You can open a topic at https://acfwidgets.com/support/forum/general/ towards the bottom of the page.
However, I’ve opened this one for you so ask away!
In regards to your question about the license expiration, it seems that it should be active… if it’s not showing as active on your website, delete the license from wp-admin and then re-add it. You can also manage your license here at: https://acfwidgets.com/checkout/purchase-history/ once you are logged in.

Apologies for the late reply. I have been moving this past week and that’s always time consuming!
So from what I think is going on, it appears you have a Group field (?) assigned to your widget.
ACF Widgets are basically meant to be another place to insert data via the ACF interface. So just like you would add fields to a post/page, you can also add fields to these custom widgets you create on the fly.
However, you don’t need to use ACFW to add fields to any other widget since that functionality is built into ACF.
I’m still not entirely sure what your question is, but hopefully my explanation helps you figure it out. Maybe if you explained exactly what you are trying to achieve (with bonus photos) I may be able to offer some more insight.
Thanks for supporting the plugin regardless!January 22, 2018 at 5:45 PM in reply to: New custom widgets not showing up in rule dropdown of ACF Pro #105077
Can you provide some screenshots of your setup? I’m having a hard time visualizing what you are referencing.
I apologize for missing your request here.
What I think is happening, is that the plugin you mentioned above is removing the link to the customizer by unsetting that key within the array of links. Since ACF Widgets inserts itself directly under the ‘Widgets’ link in that menu, it pushes everything down, and when the customizer link is trying to be removed, it actually removes the menu link instead.
I’m in the process of revamping the plugin for 2018, so I’m putting this on my list to hopefully gracefully fallback to something workable. If by chance, this doesn’t make it into the update, you’ll have to re-do this modification when I push the next update.
Sorry for the late reply. Since you completely control the actual template, I figured I would leave anything like that up to you.
Just attach any arbitrary class or id to your widget template and you should be good to go.
