    Hi,

This may be a dumb question but I have an existing set of custom fields (events) which appear on their own page as a list (archive-events.php) and singly (single-events.php). What I’m looking for is a way to show in a widget a summary of those events.

As I see it all I get using ACF Widgets is a widget where I have to enter the details again for them to show in a widget. As I say probably a dumb question!

Hey Pete, you can use any arbitrary PHP or HTML in your widget, including other ACF field values as long as you know how to retrieve them. The second argument for the_field() is the post ID where that data is attached so you can use any ID you need to grab that info. Same thing for options.

Check out the official ACF documentation for more in depth info on those functions. 🙂

    Cheers!
