Recently we had a page break on the site, and the only thing I can trace it back to is the ACF Widgets plugin. Can you tell me if this means anything?
Target container is not a DOM element.
Since I can’t upload a screenshot, I’ll paste console errors here.
react-dom.min.js?ver=16.13.1:9 Error: Minified React error #200; visit https://reactjs.org/docs/error-decoder.html?invariant=200 for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings.
acf-input.min.js?ver=5.9.9:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'query' of undefined
These messages appear when I try to upload files from within Widget. All other pages not using ACF Widgets work fine.
The file you’re referencing there, “acf-input.min.js”, is a part of ACF core, not ACF Widgets. I assume you’re trying to use some sort of frontend form powered by ACF? (Personally, I’ve never been a fan of doing things that way.)
It’s been a while since I’ve done any substantial ACF work, but I think it’s safe to say the error is somewhere in your implementation. You may need to bootstrap your js files earlier/later so everything can mount properly.
I wasn’t sure if it was related to widgets or core. The odd thing is that we haven’t changed a thing except for update plugins. It just stopped working about three weeks ago, and none of the error messages gave me a clue.
